Description: Zeva was surrendered to the Shelter on New Years Eve. This poor girl was very under-socialized, and was afraid of everything and everyone. But the volunteers could see through that shyness and see what a sweet girl Zeva is, so we pulled her into the foster program. Now, after 3 weeks in foster care, Zeva is becoming more confident and trusting. She walks on a leash and will meet new people one-on-one. She is learning that other dogs can be fun to be around and gets along terrifically with the resident dog. She also rides well in the car. While Zeva is still shy in crowds and new situations - she is very loving and sweet in a secure, calm environment. Zeva’s foster parents are looking for a patient, loving family who are willing to expose her to new situations so her confidence continues to grow and who will join Zeva on her journey to bring out the happy, friendly, indoor family dog hiding inside her. It will take some time, but will definitely be worth it. Zeva is 17 months old, spayed and weighs about 37lbs. Given her shyness, she would be best in a home without small children. If you’re interested – please contact Rich and Nancy Metz (925) 462-9679 to meet Zeva and take the next step to adopting this sweet baby.
